Our vanilla beans are regeneratively grown and traditionally salted in Uganda. Ugandan vanilla has a sweet chocolate flavor, and its naturally high vanillin content gives it universal uses from baking, ice cream, confectionery and much more.
Your vanilla is packaged in a resealable and airtight bag for freshness. This is necessary to keep the vanilla fresh and retain its flavor.
The whole vanilla bean is packed with flavor and can be used. The vanillin is most concentrated in the caviar of the bean.
- Slice the vanilla bean vertically and scrape out the caviar, which you can then add to your dessert, ice cream or other tasty creations.
- The remaining bean husk is still full of flavor, you can dry it to make vanilla powder, mix it with fine sugar to make vanilla sugar or use it to make vanilla extract.
